A Star Is Born (2018)

Cooper goes fuzzy in the film's second half, maybe not by choice. Face it, Lady Gaga is not going to make her self look foolish in a musical number, even if it serves the plot.

David Edelstein
Vulture

Fueled by strong performance and cooper's precise direction. A star is born a moving (and tear-jerking) love story by way of showbiz melodrama.

Sandy Schaefer

Screen Rant

A total emotional knockout, but it's also a movie that gets you to believe, at every step, In the complicated rapture of the story it's telling.

Owen Gleiberman

Variety

A star is born? Offers a suitably jaundiced glimpse of star-making machinery at its most cynical, but also its most thrilling and gratifying.

Night School Movie reviews

Haddish and Hart are a comedic dream
Team: her blunt, Oh-no-you-didnt style is the perfect foil for Hart brand of "let me explain"  humour.

Tara Mcnamara

Common sense media

There's a heap of good intentions behind it, and enough big laughs to make us want to forgive it in the end.

Emily Yoshida

Vulture

Teddy's classmates, meanwhile, are a wacked collection of losers and flakes, and it doesn't take long for the movie to turn into a mid-life "welcome back, Kotter". For the age of the gig economy.

Owen Gleiberman

Variety

There?s a genuine desire for self-improvement at the heart of the adult education comedy? Night school?

Pat Padua

Washington post

Excessive language, a myriad of crude jokes and other problematic content make for a long night at night school.

Kristin Smith

Plugged In

Night school is a by-the-numbers and forgettable studio comedy the fails to realize the full potential of its promising cast and concept.

Chris Agar

Screen Rant

The plot of Malcolm D. Lee's comedy zigs and zigs and sometimes accelerate in the direction of genuine hilarity.

A. O Scott

The NYTimes

No matter how much money this clunker makes, this is a movie that never should have happened.

Peter Travers

Rolling Stone

Night school has it ups and downs, but it all boils down to a forgettable comedy in end.

Wonder woman 2 (2019)

Wonder Woman 2

NOT YET RATED

 AdventureFantasy

RELEASE DATENovember 1, 2019

DIRECTOR Patty Jenkins

WRITTEN BYGeoff Johns, Patty Jenkins

CAST: Chris Pine, Gal Gadot

SYNOPSIS

A sequel to Wonder Woman that further follows the adventures of Diana of Themyscira. Plot details are unknown at this time. (Poster is for the original Wonder Woman.)

A standalone sequel, Wonder Woman 2 has officially been announced by Warner Bros. The movie which features actress Gal Gadot in the titular role already has a premiere date and it is happening on December 13, 2019.

Director of the first film, Patty Jenkins has yet to announce her involvement as of this writing but an agreement and official announcement is expected to happen soon. The first movie was a surprise success having surpassed the $800 million box office making it the highest grossing film directed by a woman. It has also become the highest grossing superhero origin film.

The first movie was set in 1918 towards the end of World War 2 although Diana Prince has already appeared in a more recent timeline in Zack Snyder’s 2016 movie,Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She is also set to appear in Justice League which will be shown on November 17, 2017 together with Aquaman/Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), The Flash/Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), Cyborg/Victor Stone (Ray Fisher), Superman/Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) and Batman/Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck).

No movie plot has been shared yet as well but many believe that a big time jump will happen. It is widely believed to happen at a time after the events on Justice League, or possibly in the 1980s. No other cast members have been confirmed to return.

The 2017 Wonder Woman film introduced Diana Prince as the daughter of Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) who ruled over the Amazons in the hidden island of Themyscira. They are of mythological descent as a race of warrior women created by Zeus.

In 1918 she meets Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), an American pilot whom she rescues from a plane crash. They become romantically involved and fought against the Germans in hopes to stop the war. Ares (David Thewlis) who is believed to have caused the war among humans also appears and reveals Diana’s destiny.

Peppermint movie Review

Critic Reviews

What could have been an interesting gender twist on tried-and-true revenge fantasies devolves into a tone-deaf uninteresting rip-off of much more compelling films.

Sandie Angulo Chen
Common sense media

If we needed any proof that the methodology of Hollywood's extreme makeover ; gender edition is broken.
Peppermint might just be the thing.

Emily Yoshida
Vulture

Despite a committed performance by Garner, peppermint is an extremely forgettable and bland action movie that leaves no impression on the viewer.

Chris Agar
Screen Rant

This flick Is a horribly written 102 minutes of bloodletting and spewed foul language.
The Plugged

"peppermint " starring Jennifer Garner as a hardworking suburban mom turned avenging angel, is a belabored exercise in lazily constructed de javu.

Aisha Harris
The NYTimes

Garner has the talent to make expect more, she needed support from the filmmakers. but what did she get? A lazy facsimile of the revenge movie she richly deserved.

Peter Travers
Rolling Stone

"peppermint " is poorly written cliche revenge movie. Garner deserved better.

The Nun Movie reviews

Critic Reviews

Sadly, the fifth chapter in THE CONJURING franchise is, despite a temptingly promising locale/premise is no where near as scary, inspired, incoherent as its predecessors.

Jeffrey M. Anderson
Common sense media

It may be a familiar old dark castle runaround, but Corin hardy deliver eerie images and nerve scraping sound effects. Lapsed in Catholic, in particular, we will have Nun nightmares after this.

Kim Newman
Empire

The Nun does a small favor for the "conjuring" franchise with a derivative plot that relies solely on the eerie soundtrack and discomforting vibe to deliver predictable jump scares.

Neil Soans
Times of India

The Nun is a thinly sketched conjuring spinoff that's light on real scares but offers enough stylish atmosphere to make up (some of) the difference.

Sandy Schaefer
Screen Rant

Along with its spirituality, the Nun invites a whole host of supernatural grotesquerie to the party.

Paul Asay
Plugged In

The latest spinoff of conjuring has timeworn, reflex-testing jolts in store.

Ben Kenisberg
The NYTimes

Corin impresses in his skills and hence should be retained for the future installment in this series.

Umesh Puwani
Koimoi

The Nun was a bit of a let down from the the previous installment of the "conjuring" franchise.
