STAR WARS: ROUGE ONE

We're a little over one month away from the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and even though it doesn't have quite as much secrecy as its older cousin, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there's not a whole lot that we know about that film. The final trailer raised more questions than it answered, but thankfully we know when the next burst of footage is coming. All you have to do to see it is sit through one measly Disneyholiday special.

Courtesy of the official ABC Network Twitter, we know when you can watch the next new footage forRogue One: A Star Wars Story. ABC will air the Disney Magical Holiday Celebration on Thursday, November at 8 p.m. ET, and at some point during that special, there will be new footage of Rogue One. Hosted by Derek and Julianne Hough, with performances by Kelly Clarkson, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, the special will see Disney light up some intricate holiday themed castles for the amusement of your family. Meanwhile, you'll sit on your couch begrudgingly waiting for the commercials.

At least now we have a date on when we can expect more Rebel goodness. There's no word on what exactly we should be expecting or how much of it, but these special previews usually aren't anything substantial (unless it's a trailer!). It could be anything from a small clip from the movie to a commercial that shows some slightly new footage. If it's anything major, you can bet that it'll be on the Internet within an hour of airing on ABC.

So far, Rogue One has kept a similar marketing strategy to The Force Awakens from last year, though it hasn't kept quite so firm a grip on spoilers or giving out treats. I doubt that Force Awakens would have shown the back of Darth Vader's head, let alone a full-on shot of him. The Rogue One trailers have at least added new footage for each new cut, teasing some truly awesome-looking visuals from director Gareth Edwards, while not giving too much of the plot away.
