STAR WARS: ROUGE ONE

We're a little over one month away from the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and even though it doesn't have quite as much secrecy as its older cousin, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there's not a whole lot that we know about that film. The final trailer raised more questions than it answered, but thankfully we know when the next burst of footage is coming. All you have to do to see it is sit through one measly Disneyholiday special.

Courtesy of the official ABC Network Twitter, we know when you can watch the next new footage forRogue One: A Star Wars Story. ABC will air the Disney Magical Holiday Celebration on Thursday, November at 8 p.m. ET, and at some point during that special, there will be new footage of Rogue One. Hosted by Derek and Julianne Hough, with performances by Kelly Clarkson, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, the special will see Disney light up some intricate holiday themed castles for the amusement of your family. Meanwhile, you'll sit on your couch begrudgingly waiting for the commercials.

At least now we have a date on when we can expect more Rebel goodness. There's no word on what exactly we should be expecting or how much of it, but these special previews usually aren't anything substantial (unless it's a trailer!). It could be anything from a small clip from the movie to a commercial that shows some slightly new footage. If it's anything major, you can bet that it'll be on the Internet within an hour of airing on ABC.

So far, Rogue One has kept a similar marketing strategy to The Force Awakens from last year, though it hasn't kept quite so firm a grip on spoilers or giving out treats. I doubt that Force Awakens would have shown the back of Darth Vader's head, let alone a full-on shot of him. The Rogue One trailers have at least added new footage for each new cut, teasing some truly awesome-looking visuals from director Gareth Edwards, while not giving too much of the plot away.

SO, ARE TAYLOR SWIFT AND DRAKE DATING, OR NOT?

The biggest celebrity couple rumor of the moment is a wild one! Rumors are swirling that Taylor Swift and Drake are actually an item, after they were seen getting close at the rapper's birthday party nearly two weeks ago, and some social media posts since seem to be playing into the chatter. But how much can we believe about this supposed relationship? Let's break it down.

Though both Taylor Swift and Drakeare known for their habit of dating other A-list celebrities, sources atTMZ are saying that the two of them are simply friends and nothing more. While Drake did reportedly take the time to introduce Swift to his close friends and even his mother at his 30th birthday party two Sundays back, he did so simply because Swift isn't often at Drake's parties and he wanted her to feel comfortable. And who knows, maybe the fact that Swift was also trying to avoid Katy Perry and ex John Mayer the whole night played into her looking a bit uncomfortable at the party.

Another reason that makes it hard to know what's really going on with this relationship is the fact that both Drake and Taylor Swift love to troll the media and the public when it comes to their love lives. More talk of a possibly Drizzy-Swizzy romance sprung up on Friday morning when Drake posted a photo of him and Swift together. But upon closer inspection into the outfits, that photo is actually from the birthday party two weeks ago, and not a new snapshot.

Taylor Swift also loves to mess with the media when it comes to her love life. When the singer began dating actor Tom Hiddleston over the summer, several commenters called it out as a publicity stunt for some new music video, album, or other concept. The couple wound up breaking up when summer ended, though no songs have yet emerged from it.

For his part, Drake has never really given the public a clear picture as to the relationship he has with Rihanna. Rumors that the two singers are dating have been circulating for over five years now, and fans are more confused than ever. He also dated tennis superstar Serena Williams for a few years before splitting up in 2015, but even though that relationship was a bit more public, much of it was still left up to public speculation.

So what conclusion can we draw from this: Are Drake and Taylor Swift actually dating? Most likely not. But don't expect them to milking the romance rumors so that they can laugh at the headlines.

LADY GAGA JUST JOINED AMERICAN CRIME STORY FOR THE PERFECT ROLE

Even though she just released her new album, Joanne, Lady Gaga isn't slowing down anytime soon. Having already dipped her toes into acting in American Horror Story: Hotel and Roanoke, the triple threat will continue her good relationship with super producer Ryan Murphy by appearing in the third season of American Crime Story. The casting is pretty spot on because Gaga will play the legendary couture designer Donatella Versace.

According to US Weekly, Lady Gaga is being tapped to play Donatella Versace in the third season ofAmerican Crime Story. The third season of the Emmy-winning show will tackle the murder of Donatella's brother, Gianni Versace, by the serial killer Andrew Cunanan on the steps of his Miami Beach home. While no casting deals have been officially reached, US Weekly's sources say that Gaga is all in for the role.

You may be wondering "wait, Season 3? Did I already miss Season 2?" Nope! Season 2 of American Crime Story will focus on Hurricane Katrina and is aiming to film alongside Season 3 in early 2017. One would imagine that after the huge response to The Trial of O.J. Simpson, FX is working to get the ball rolling on future seasons and must already have good faith in the story.

Lady Gaga's involvement in the third season was actually teased by Ryan Murphy at Entertainment Weekly's Popfest in late October. After the panel moderator said that Gaga would make "a perfect Donatella," Murphy gave a sly grin and replied, "Ya think?"

It shouldn't be too difficult for Gaga to get into character; she and Donatella Versace are actually good friends. Lady Gaga worked on an ad campaign for Versace's fashion label in 2014 and Gaga even has a song titled "Donatella" on her 2013 album,Artpop.

This will only be the latest project that Gaga has worked on with Ryan Murphy. She starred in the fifth season of American Horror Story as an 111-year-old vampire who runs a haunted hotel. The singer also has a role in American Horror Story: Roanoke as the creepy Witch of the Wood in the filmed documentary portions of the unique season. Murphy also dedicated two episodes of his hit Fox show Glee to the performer, heavily featuring her songs and styles.

This is turning out to be a pretty banner year for Lady Gaga. Not only is her new album Joanne getting some good critical praise, but she's also gearing up to perform the halftime show at the 2017 Super Bowl. She's also making the jump to film and starring in the remake of A Star is Born alongside Bradley Cooper. It looks like everything is coming up Gaga.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5: WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR

There was a time, not so long ago, when there was nothing in the world so popular at the movies as Johnny Depp wearing a funny hat. His success at doing this in Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl led to three additional films in the franchise. Two that co-starred Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly, and another that replaced them with Ian McShane and Penelope Cruz. While the less than warm reception received by Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides left us all wondering if we'd ever see more from these pirates. As it turns out, the answer is yes. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is on its way, and slightly sooner than expected. Here's everything we know about the next adventure of Jack Sparrow and company. Let's get started by looking at what we've seen from the new movie.

What Is The Pirates 5 Release Date?

While originally planned to be released as early as the summer of 2015, production delays pushed the film back to the summer of 2017. Originally, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was set for a July 7, 2017 release, which would have put it in line with the first two entries in the series. However, after the decision to delay Star Wars: Episode VIII into December, Pirates 5 was moved up to take over the May 26, 2017 date being left vacant.

This will give Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 nearly a month to shine before Disney releases another major film. However, following the Memorial Day Weekend competition will get stiffer. Warner Bros. Wonder Woman will be released the following Friday.

What Is The Pirates 5 Rating?

While no rating has been given toPirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the entire franchise so far has received a PG-13 rating, so we can be pretty confident that the new film will be as well. If it was going to slide in one direction or the other it would be much more likely to go PG. This is a popular Disney franchise after all. This will put the movie in competition with the rest of the summer PG-13 films, which will be plentiful.

What Is Pirates 5 About?

Between the news that's been released officially and the bit we've seen from the first teaser trailer, there appear to be a few different plot threads that will weave together to build the story of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Captain Salazar is a pirate who has just escaped from the Devil's Triangle and is on the hunt for one Captain Jack Sparrow. As we saw in the trailer, Salazar tells a young man to find Jack Sparrow and inform him that death is coming for him.

The young man in question, is actually Henry Turner, the grown son of Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner, the character's played by Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom in the first three films. Henry is looking for his father, who one assumes has been living all this time as Davy Jones.

Jack Sparrow, for his part, is in search of the Trident of Poseidon as a weapon to fend off Salazar, which causes him to cross paths with a woman named Carina Smyth who is also on a quest for the trident. Together they go in search of the artifact that will give its owner complete control of the seas.

What's The Importance of the Stars?

Stellar navigation was a normal thing for ships at sea during the era of piracy. However, the stars appear to be of a singular importance in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. In the film's trailer, we get a shot of a specific constellation, followed by the same constellation appearing on the skull and cross bones logo for the movie. The constellation would appear to reference the Trident of Poseidon that will apparently be the movie's big MacGuffin, though exactly how the stars themselves will play into the story is not known.

WHY THE NEW JUMANJI WAS DELAYED, ACCORDING TO THE ROCK

For a while, next year's Jumanji sequel was intended to be a summer release, which made sense. An adventure involving four prominent movie actors based off a nostalgic property is exactly the kind of fare many moviegoers crave during the sunny season. However, along withThe Dark Tower and The Equalizer 2,Jumanji is one of the upcoming Sony movies that's been delayed, and it's now been moved to December 2017. However, according to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, this is a good thing.

Johnson went on Instagram earlier today to explain that during the course of working on Jumanji, he and the other folks involved with the production realized it was a movie better suited for the Christmas season. In his words:

"We were always slated to be released summer of 2017, but after months of shooting and editing our movie together, we realized we have a big family franchise on our hands, that's full of Christmas wish fulfillment, fun and heart."

Summer may be the prime time to release blockbusters, but as we've seen in recent years, it's not the only period where such a movie can be highly successful. Just look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Rather than release it in Star Wars-friendly May, Disney and Lucasfilm opted to move it to December, and it did gangbusters. Not that we're sayingJumanji will experience the same kind of success as The Force Awakens. In fact, Star Wars: Episode VIII opens a week before Jumanji is released, so we're actually concerned about how that will impact the latter's commercial performance.

Regardless, given how packed summer 2017 already is, in Dwayne Johnson's eyes, this date change will allow Jumanji to better stand out and give families a fun movie to enjoy during the holidays. Fun fact, the movie's first release date was Christmas 2016, so in a way, those original winter plans are restored.

You can read Dwayne Johnson's fullJumanji statement below, which came with a new image of him and the other three main cast members.

Like its 1995 predecessor (which itself was based on the 1981 children's book of the same name), the new Jumanji movie will revolve a board game that sucks the players into its insane, action-packed world. However, this time around, the protagonists will be four students playing the game while in detention. Once within, they'll be represented by adult avatars, and their mission will be to find a jewel. The movie's main cast includes Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Kevin Hart  as Moose Finbarr, Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon, Ser'Darius Blane as Anthony "Fridge" Johnson, Nick Jonas and more.

Jumanji hits theaters on December 22, 2017.
